This award recognises the landmark solar project completed for Fisher & Paykel Appliances’ new global headquarters in Penrose, Auckland. The project set out to turn solar generation into a striking architectural feature across the campus’s three main structures—the Home, Shed, and Garage buildings—while pushing the campus toward zero energy goals.Project Highlights
- Home Building: A curved 169 kW array designed to mirror the building's distinct architecture on a curved membrane roof.
- Shed Building: A combined 177 kWp system featuring a 98 kWp rooftop array and a custom 79 kW PV facade.
- Garage Building: A robust 260 kWp rooftop solar farm engineered for high wind loads and harsh uplift pressures.
